Holiday Travel Bag

First day back in England = holiday blues! On the 4th load of washing and 'big shop' delivered from Sainsburys, getting ready to get back to normal tomorrow. I thought I'd do a little blog on my travel bag, lots of essentials and a few new products I thought Id try for my holiday. As therapists we are always asked what we use, so here is an insight :)

*we sell at Eden

Starting with the SPF's.............

Face

Dermalogica Ultra Sensitive Tint SPF30* - Love this product and use it regularly at home, the tint is fab for a makeup free day and helps cover up my dark circles after one to many mojitos the night before!

Dermalogica Dynamic SPF50* - Great moisturising SPF great for when need that extra protection, usually keep a mini in my bag to apply before going swimming or throughout the day.

Caudalie Vinoperfect Tinted Moisturizer SPF20* - Trialing our new salon brand, lightweight tint helping the appearance of imperfections and helps pigmentation too. I will use this regularly at home, oil-free and light in texture so great for everyday use.

Body

We wish Elemis made an SPF range!!!! but they dont so these are the next best thing.

My favourite Ultrasun SPF20 Glimmer. Huge fan of the Ultrasun range, only need to apply truely once a day and I have never burned. Family 30 is great too but this time of year SPF20 is fine and leaves a lovely shimmer on your skin, perfect for the first few days when your pasty white!

New Product - French Brand Nuxe SPF20 milky spray, antiageing, hydrating, amazing fragrance of Sweet Orange, Tahitian Gardenia and Vanilla. Great product but need to reapply every few hours which makes Ultrasuns much more appealing.

Dermalogica After Sun Repair* - Recently winning the Glamour beauty power awards I thought id try this out. Its an incredibly soothing treatment gel that helps to repair damage from exposure to UV sunlight as it helps to cool sunburn and reduce discomfort. It instantly feels cooling when it goes onto your skin, soaks in quickly too. If your super sensitive you can use this as a recovery face mask and also if you have some leftover a post waxing balm. Smells refreshing and citrusy, I will buy this again for next holidays.

Skincare

Elemis Pro Collagen Cleansing Balm* - If you havent tried this yet it is a must!! Luxurious cleansing balm suitable for all skin types, cleansing and nourishing at the same time. As it is a balm it is really deep cleansing so great to remove all traces of SPF at the end of the day and at the same time nourishing after being in the sun.

Elemis SOS Cream* - (The mens version as Kieran uses this also) Again hero product, from the morning waking up in the Radisson, apply a generous layer and helps skin from getting dehydrated on the flight. I use this every evening on holiday as my treatment night cream, helps repair from sunexposure, calming any irritation and great for getting rid of the hormonal breakouts that had appeared on my chin :(

Elemis Hydra Boost Day Cream* - Daily hydrating moisturiser, I apply every morning before sunscreen, smells great and works well for my skin.

Dermalogica Hydrating Booster* - High Concentrate of Hyaluronic acid, usually keep in travel bag as great for long haul flights, this is great as a serum before your makeup to help plump everything up.

Elemis Flash Balm* - Great primer I use everytime before makeup. But on holiday I like to be makeup free and give me skin a rest as much as possible. I use this in the evening and skin looks instantly more radiant so you can go fresh-faced or a little bronzer and lipgloss and your ready to go.

New Elemis Radiance Eye Balm* - Similar to the flash balm for use under the eyes, has a mineral makeup in it to help coverage.

Make up products in this picture that I love - Hourglass - blushers, bronzers and face powders. Free from - • Parabens• Fragrance• Talc• Nanoparticles• Gluten, this is a great brand and like with the products at Eden I try and avoid nasties in as many products as possible but it can be hard in makeup, but this range is fab! Expensive but worth it, available at Spake NK.

Lips

EOS Balms* - £6.50 a lovely treat. This is Watermelon from the limited collection (holiday smell) really nourishing, shea butter based, lots of different flavours, gulten free and no nasties. They do a SPF15 in lemon which I had last time and fancied a change of flavour. One of our customers recently said she used on a patch of eczema on her sons face and its healed it! Great Stuff.

Caudalie LIp Conditioner* - £5.50. Anti oxidant, repairing, antiageing lip conditioner, lovely vanilla taste also natural and no nasties, Im a huge EOS fan but I surprisingly love this product. The lip balm collection is growing!!!

Hair

Alterna Hair Care Moisturising Caviar Shampoo and Conidtioner - I was introduced to these by Joanne from Excel Hairdressers. While trying to reduce my chemical count I wanted to find a good hair range free from parabens, SLS, Silicones etc that actually worked, and this does. They do great little travel ranges also with shampoo, conditioner and a couple of styling products which are great value and a great way to try out

Other essentials

Elemis Skin Nourishing Shower Gel* - Nourishing, hydrating always our holiday body wash, great natural smell too so we can both use.

Caudalie Divine Oil* - Multi use oil, great as a deep hair conditioner and for my legs of an evening for that extra moisture and glow. Argan oil is supposed to help your body be more responsive to protecting itself from the sun Ive read somewhere recently.

Sam Farmer Deodrant - Brand created by Caroline Quentins husband, he went to buy his kids their first teenage personal care products. Having seen the rows of products, pink, pouty and submissive packaging aimed at his daughter and steel grey, macho stuff intended for his son, he left determined to do something about it. It is a great range primarly for teens, but it is a fab nice smelling deodrant, good ingredients and it works well on me (not a lot of roll ons do). Again available at Space NK and only £4.

Hope you have found this interesting, im off to search for my next holiday :)
