FACIALS
I am not sure what facial to have or which would suit my skin. How do I choose?
You can book in for a facial treatment and the therapist can go through a choice of facial which would suit your skin type after a consultation.
At what age should I start using skincare products?
A basic skincare routine of cleansing, toning and moisturising prescribed for your skin type by a professional Beauty Therapist can be started at the early age of 13. I would also recommend at looking at an anti ageing range from the age of 21, as protection and prevention of fine lines and wrinkles is important. We live in such a harsh environment we need to protect our skins against pollution, and external effects to prevent the ageing process.
What is the difference between professional skincare you can purchase in the salon or a range you buy over the counter?
Professional skincare ranges are full of very active ingredients that stimulate and enhance the skin, they are prescribed by a trained professional Beauty Therapist that knows and understands the skins functions and how it should be treated for a successful result. We stock two of the best skincare ranges on the market Elemis & Dermalogica which have extensive ranges of excellent quality products which we can advise the best to suit your skin type.

WAXING
What happens in a waxing treatment?
The therapist will cleanse the area using a specially formulated pre-cleansing lotion. The therapist will then apply a high quality cream warm wax and quickly remove the unwanted hair with a wax strip. A soothing lotion is then applied to soothe and help the skin recover from the waxing treatment.
How long does my hair have to be?
You should ensure that the hair to be waxed is a minimum of around 0.75cm - 1cm so that the wax will take to the hair effectively. This is normally around 2 weeks post-shaving growth for most ladies or 4 weeks post waxing. Some Clients who prefer to have faster hair growth may be waxed every 3 weeks between treatments.
What are the benefits of waxing?
- Will help keep skin looking naturally smooth
- Eliminates stubble growth / ingrowing hairs – great if you suffer from irritated skin from shaving
- Waxing lasts 4-6 weeks - compare that to shaving which can last just a day or two
- Hairs become sparse over time
- Hairs become finer and weaker
- Slows down hair growth
We use a roller wax system, which is a completely hygienic, compared to the traditional pot wax methods as each individual wax head is sterilised after use. This system also allows much quicker and accurate results.

SPRAY TANNING
What do I wear for a spray tan?
Most people choose to wear their own underwear for comfort reasons – briefs or a thong, paper knickers can be provided if you wish. Most people will choose to be topless so you get an all-over tan but if you prefer you can wear a strapless bra or a bathing suit.
How long will my tan last?
You have to leave the tan on for 10 - 12 hours from the treatment so it is best to leave on the tan overnight before showering. Then your tan will last on average 7 to 10 days depending on your skin type. If you take care of your tan by moisturising daily and avoiding swimming, long baths and exfoliators, your tan will last longer.
Do I need to moisturise or exfoliate before I come?
No, do not moisturise. Your skin must be free of any products before your tan, avoid moisturising that day completely as it could affect your tan. A light make-up can be worn or we can remove this pre-tan for you.
We do recommend that you do any shaving or waxing before you have your tan and if you use a good exfoliator or body mitt the day before your tan it will help get rid of any dead skin cells so your tan is airbrushed onto fresh new skin – this will help prolong your tan.

SEMI-PERMANENT EYELASH EXTENSIONS
How long will they last?
They will last around 2-3 months with regular 2 week Infills. If you just had as a one off treatment you can expect them to last around a month.
What length will they be and will they look false?
They can be applied any required length and thickness, from the really natural to the more flamboyant glamorous look. As the lashes are applied individually they look very natural.
Can I still wear my mascara and eye makeup remover?
A water based Mascara can be worn as normal, although it is not usually needed, with the lash extensions being longer and thicker than your regular lashes mascara is not usually needed. An oil-free makeup remover is recommended for use or oil-free make-up wipes.
